About

Biomedical Music Solutions, Inc. (BMS) is a SaaS technology-enabling services company delivering effective, non-invasive, non-pharmaceutical treatment options for people with mobility loss. Through the precise application of music, BMS is able to activate areas of the brain related to an individual’s unique desired medical outcomes.

In 2017, CEO and MT-BC Hope Young launched Biomedical Music Solutions’s first product,  SoundSteps™. Through extensive research, Hope Young led a team of leading musicians in composing and recording proprietary audio outputs that stimulate a precise area of the brain. Each stimulation triggers a specific desired response, such as a heel strike.

SoundSteps™ went to market with Biodex Medical Systems’s Gait Trainer Treadmill System. Integrating the audio outputs with the Gait Trainer Treadmill’s preexisting biofeedback produced faster and better gains in walking and balance. These results have been published in multiple leading science and medical journals. Currently, over 3 million+ people in 175 hospitals around the world have used SoundSteps™ to gain back mobility losses.

Biomedical Music Solutions is expanding into new avenues, such as other medical devices and Smart Phone apps, in order to help a million more users improve their mobility.
